Lent in St Francis' and Paisley Diocese

Stations of the Cross

During the season of Lent, there will be Stations of the Cross each Friday following the 9:30am Mass and at 3pm on Sundays.


Lent Catechesis

During Lent there will be an opportunity to delve further into the mysteries of our faith, in particular the Sacred Paschal Triduum, and prepare our hearts for Easter.


Thursday 5th March - Do This In Memory of Me - Fr Johnathan Whitworth

Thursday 12th March - Into your Hands I Commend My Spirit - Fr Joe McGill

Thursday 19th March - The Light Shines in the Darkness - Fr Ryan Black


These talks will take place in the Hall at 7pm, followed by tea and coffee.


St Stephen's Lenten Masses

There will be additional Masses offered in St Stephen's High School on Wednesday mornings at 8:25am in the oratory followed by tea and coffee. Regular lunchtime Mass at 12:20 continues each Monday.


P4-P7 Lenten Retreat Day

The diocesan Youth Commission invites P4-P7 children to a Retreat Day on Sunday 1st March from 1:45pm-5pm. In this special Jubilee Year of St Francis of Assisi, the theme is 'Our Friends, the Saints: The Franciscan Saints.' The retreat takes place in St Francis' and the Hall.
